Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is my phone number shown publicly?
Never. Not for organisers, not for attendees.
Q: Can strangers find me on social media from this site?
No. Organisers are listed by first name only.
Q: Who sees my details when I request to join an event?
Only the organiser, privately by email. Nothing is posted publicly.
Q: Can anyone just post an event?
No. Every submission is manually reviewed by a real person before it goes live. Private venues are always rejected.
A few things worth keeping in mind
This platform is designed for group meetups, not one-on-one meetings. If you're the only person signed up for an event, wait until more people join before going.
Always meet at the public venue listed on the event card. If an organiser tries to move the location to somewhere private, that's a red flag.
Tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting. It takes 30 seconds and it matters.
Bring someone you know if you're unsure about anything. There's no rule that says you have to show up alone.
Trust your gut. If something feels off at any point, before or during an event, leave. No explanation needed.
Use the Report button on any event card if an organiser makes you uncomfortable, is a no-show, or behaves inappropriately. Every report is reviewed by a real person and bad actors are permanently banned.
This is a community built on trust. Help us keep it that way.
